Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Schizophrenia
Dosage-
Adults- initially 25 to 50mg 3 to 4 times daily, increase as needed Dosages exceeding 600mg are rarely reqd.
Elderly - initial lower dose - 10 to 25mg 3 to 4 times daily
Adults and Children over 12 years- 25 to 50mg IM upto 3 to 4 times daily
Postural hypotension may occur but recovery spontaneous
Inject with the patient seated or recumbent Gradually give oral and parentral doses alternately on the same day, then oral doses only
