Indication:
Treatment of ocular disorders
Adverse Reaction:
Most frequently reported ocular adverse reactions-
Transcient burning, stinging or discomfort upon instillation 10%
Nonocular events reported were headache (1% ) heat sensation, somnolence, nausea,
stomach discomfort, sneezing, and rash
Contra-Indications:
Hypersenstitivity to the components
Special Precautions/warnings -
Contact lenses- patients should be instructed not to wear soft contact lenses during treatment with lodoxamide tromethalmic ophthalmic solutions
Ocular effects- patients may experience a transcient buring or stinging upon instillation . Patients adviced to contact their doctor, if the symptoms persists.
Pregnancy- No adequate studies conducted . Should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
Lactation- Excercise caution when Lodoxmide tromethamine ophthalmic solution is administered to nursing women
Children- Safety and efficacy studies in children younger than 3 years have not been conducted
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
Indication-
Treatment of ocular disorders
Dosage-
Dose for adults and children greater than 2 years of age, 1 or 2 drops in each eye
4 times a day daily upto 3 months
Store - at 15C to 27C - (59 to 80F )

1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
Lidoxamide. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic
to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Lodoxamide has not been studied in pregnant women. However, lodoxamide
has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems in animal studies
3. Breast-feeding-
It is known whether lodoxamide passes into breast milk. Mothers who are
taking this medicine and who wish to breast feed should discuss this
with their doctor.
4.Children-
Studies of this medicine has been done only in adult patients and there is no specific
information comparing Lodoxamide in children with use in other age groups.
For older children, this medicine is not expected to cause different side or
problems, than it does innadults.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of Lodoxamide in the elderly with use
in other age groups
