Adverse reactions-
Vaginal burning, Itching, Dysuria, Dyspareunia
Contra-Indications:
Special Precautioons-
Avoid use of tampons, diaphrams, or condoms for 72 hours after use.
Confirm diagnosis with KOH smears and or culture .
Before retreatment reconfirm diagnosis
Pregnancy, nursing mothers - not recommeneded
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:
For the local Treatment of Vulvo Vaginal Candidiasis in Adult Patients
Vulvovaginal candidiasis
Dosage-
1 applicatorful vaginally at bedtime
Children- not recommeneded
Patient Information:
1. Wear cottton underwear and loose fitting clothes
2. Wipe from front and back movemment or after urination
3. Do not douche, because douching may wash the drug out of vagina
4. Do not use tempons , because they remove the drug from the vagina
5. Do not use spermicide as they may interfere with tioconazole
6. Ddo not not vaginal intercourse while tioconazole
7.Do not scracth the skin outsde the vagina, Scratching mau cause more irrtation and
spered the infection
