Adverse Reaction:
Fine tremor of skeletal muscles eg hands, palpitations, and muscle cramps, tachycardia, tenseness and peripheral vasodilation
Contra-Indications:
severe hepatic impairment, cirrhosis

Pharmacology:
Bambuterol is stable to presystemic elimination and is concentrated by lung tissue following its absorption from the GIT. Bambuterol is hydrolysed to terbutaline the active Beta adrenergic receptor agonist
Pharmacokinetics:
The mean peak terbutaline concentration at steady state occurs between 3.9 and 6.8 hours. Cmax is higher when the dose is ingested in the evening compared with the morning, but not age related.
Interaction with Food:
Preferably taken shortly before bed time
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use contraindicated Observe caution.
