1.Allergies-
Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to
mupirocin. Also tell your healthcare care professional if you are allergic
to any other substances such as foods. preservatives or dyes.
2.Pregnancy-
Toipcal mucirocin has not been studied in pregnant women. However,
this medicine has not been shown to cause birth defects or other problems
in animal studies
3. Breast-feeding-
It is known whether topical mucpirocin passes into breast milk. However, this
medicine is unlikely to pass into breast milk in large amounts.
since very little is absorbed into mothers body when applied to the skin.
4.Children-
There is no specific information comparing use of topical mupirocin
in children with use in other age groups.
5.Older adults-
There is no specific information comparing use of topical mupirocin
in the elderly with use in other age groups
6. Other medicines-
Tell your doctor if you are using any or /other prescription or
non-prescription (Over-the counter) OTC medicine that is
applied to the same area of skin.

Pharmacology:
Mupirocin , a topical antibacterial structurally unrelated to other agents, is produced by fermentation of the organism pseudomononas fluorescens. Mupirocin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly and specicifically binding to bacterial isoleucyl transfer-RNA syntheesis.
