Fluoroquinolones include the following :

+ Lomefloxacin-
Alkaline earth metals
Can chelate alkaline earths and transition metals.
Antacids, Aluminium , Magnesium
Antacids containing aluminium and magnesium, sucralfate,
interfere with gastrointestinal absorption of levofloxacin,
resulting in considerably lower level than desired
Iron preparations
Iron preparations complex reduce its absorption and
bioavailability. Such preparations should not be taken 4 hours or
2 hours after the drug.
Theophylline
Unlike some quinolones this drug does not alter theophylline
clearance.
Warfarin
Enhances effect of warfarin.
NSAIDs -
concurent administration of NSAIDs with a quinolone including
levofloxacin increase the risk of CNS stimulation and conculsive
seizures
Antidiabetic agents
disturbances of blood glucxose including hyperglycemia and
hypoglycemia have been reported in patients treated concomittantly
with quinolones and and an anti-diabetic agent
Food
Food reduces the rate but not the extent of absorption.
Probenecid
Probenecid slows the renal elimination of the drug.

Lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections.

Adverse Reaction:
Stevens Jhonsons syndrome.Acute renal failure. Generally well tolerated.
Commonly reported side effects are,nausea, abdominal pain or disconfort, and diarrhoea.
Less frequent effects are headache, dizziness, transcient insomnia,rash, pruritus, urticarai, photosensitivity. Slight and usually transient elevation of serum transaminase and blood urea nitrogen have been reported rarely. Leucopenia, thrombocytopenia.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersens to the drug or other quinolone antibacterials. No documented controlled studies in pregnant and lactatingmothers. Safety and effectiveness of the drug in children under 18 years not established.
Special precautions:
Adjust dosage in impaired renal function.
Possibly photosentivity reaction.
Avoid exposure to excessive sunlight or artificial U.V light.
Discontinue treatment if sensitivity occurs. Epilepsy, Myasthenia gravis.
Dosages/ Overdosage Etc:

Indications:

Dosage:
Daily dose 400mg, once daily for 10 to 14 days depnding on severity of infections.
