Patient Information:
Refer Ketoconazole
1. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
2. Cleanse skin with soap and water and dry throughly.
3. For atheletes foot wear well-fitting and ventilated shoes and change shoes and socks at least once a day.
4. If condition persists or worsens, inform physician
5. Use medication for the full treatment time, even though symptoms may have improved.
6. Allergies- Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reactions to econazole. Also tell your doctor if your are allergic to any other substances such as foods, preservatives or dyes.
7. Pregnancy- before using this medicine make sure your doctor knows of you are pregnant or if you may become pregnant.
8. Breast feeding- this medicine has not been reporeted to cause problems in nursing babies
9. Children- this medicine is not expected to cause different side effects or problems in children than it does in adults.
10. Elderly- the medicin is not expected to cause different side effects or problems in older people than does in younger adults.
11. Missed dose-
If you miss a dose of this medicine take it as soon as possible. However if it is almost time for your next dose go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Do not double doses.

Absorption is extremely low although most of applied drug remains on the surface. Less than 1% of applied dose was recovered in the urine and feces.
