Adverse Reaction:
Abdominal discomfort (colic,cramps).
Suppositories may cause irritation and proctitis.
False urinary glucose levels.
Contra-Indications:
Acute surgical abdomen.
Special precautions:
Swallow the tablet whole.With or within 1 hour of antacids or milk.

Dosage:
Adults - 10 to 15mg upto a maximum of 30mg.
Children below 6 years - 5 to 10mg(0.3mg/kg) at bed time or before breakfast.

LAXATIVES-
1. General- Lxatives are to be used to provide shot term relief only, unless othewise directed by your doctor.
2. Allergies- Tell your doctor if you ever had any unusualor allergic reactio to rectal laxatives. Also tell your doctor if you are allergic to any food or preservatives or dyes.
3. Diet- Tell your doctor if you are on as special diet such asl low sodium diet or low sugr diet . Some laxatives have large amounts of sodium or sugars in them.
4. Children- laxatives should not be given to young children ( up to 6 years of age) Weakness increased sweating, and convulsions (seizures) may be especially likely to occur in children receiving enema or rectal solutions since they may be more sensitive than adults
5. Older patients- weakness ,increased sweating, and convulsions (sweating ) and convulsions may be especially likely to occur in elderly patients since they are more sensitive than younger adults to the effects of rectal laxatives
6. Other medical problems- make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems especially - Appendicitics or Rectal bleeding or unknown cause - these conditions need immediate attention by a doctor. Intestinal blockage- use of laxatives may create other problems iftis condtion is present.
7. Dosing- Follow your doctors orders or follow the istructin given on the box.
8. Storage - Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat or direct sunlight. Do not store the capsule in bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in other damp places. Outdated medicines - Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Be sure that any discarded medicine is kept out of reach of children.
Interaction with Food:
Take on an empty stomach for rapid effect.
Do not take within 1 hour antacids, milk or or other dairy products
